Allison Michelle Dye is born.
October 3, 1998. Greeley, Colorado USA.
2000
Damir Chernichenko is born.
October 18, 2000. Mariupol, Ukraine.
2008
We meet.
February 2008. Emilia Romagna, Italia.
2012 & 2013
We meet (and remember it).
August 2012 and 2013. Abruzzo, Italia.
2014
We live near each other for the first time.
Emilia Romagna, Italia.
2015
We join a band.
Emilia Romagna, Italia.
2016
We make memories.
Emilia Romagna, Italia.
2017
We live far apart again (this time, we stay in touch).
Damir in Emilia Romagna, Italia. Allison in North Carolina, USA.
Allison is diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and Migraine.
Damir provides constant emotional support during a very difficult year.
2018
We grow closer despite the distance.
We fall in love.
We decide to start dating.
2019
Allison flies to visit Damir.
Damir and Allison in Emilia Romagna, Italia.
We fall in love again.
We know we want to spend the rest of our lives together.
Allison is in an ethanol-induced fire accident and suffers burns on her face and ears; Damir never leaves her side in the ambulance, the hospital, and the burn center.
We hate saying goodbye but we know we’ll be together again very soon.
2020
We are not together again very soon; together we survive unprecedented times.
Damir in Emilia Romagna, Italia. Allison in North Carolina, USA.
Allison’s health worsens considerably.
Damir applies for Italian citizenship.
2021
We wait (for his Italian citizenship and for her health answers).
2022
Allison is diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder.
We continue to survive unprecedented times, together while apart.
2023
Damir receives his Italian Citizenship.
We start the immigration process for Damir to move to the USA and file the Fiancè Immigration Petition which is approved in 3 months (instead of the expected 12 months).
We find a dream house and buy it together (with Allison’s parents).
2024
Damir receives his Visa to join Allison in the USA and we have 90 days to get married per the Visa requirement.

Damir and Allison are reunited in the USA.

Damir proposes in person, finally. Allison accepts (obviously).
